Originally from Bosnia, Chef Ramiz Jasic emigrated to the United States in 2001, and immediately fell in love with French and Italian cooking styles. His “Chef Idols” are Marco Pierre White and Jacques Pepin, whom he says drive his desire to leave his mark on the culinary world. He believes that having respect for ingredients and elevating them through proper technique complements each dish. At Boathouse Saranac Lake Pub, the new menu focuses on the bounty of the Upper Adirondacks, with dishes like his Fried Brussels Sprouts with Cornell Maple Syrup and Meier’s Artisanal Butter paving the way for a unique culinary experience. Chef Ramiz says “we are so privileged to have so many local purveyors in the Adirondack region. I look forward to working with them to create amazing food that speaks to all our area has to offer.” With a seasonally changing menu, guests are sure to find their new favorite each time they visit Boathouse Pub and Saranac Waterfront Lodge.
