Where To Go Snow Tubing In The Adirondacks

A getaway to Upstate New York’s Adirondack High Peaks Region at Saranac Waterfront Lodge gives you a truly world-class array of winter activities to pursue, from some of the most fabled downhill skiing and snowboarding in the Northeast to snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice-fishing, snowmobiling, and ice-climbing—and so much more.

Among the most all-around delightful activities, well suited to youngsters and grownups alike, is most definitely snow tubing. And your guest room or suite at our LEED-certified lakeside Lodge puts you nice and close to some of the region’s best tubing slopes!

Tubing at Mount Pisgah Recreation Center in Saranac Lake, NY

The Village of Saranac Lake’s own little snowsports hub, Mount Pisgah Recreation Center (92 Mount Pisgah Drive, Saranac Lake, NY), lies mere minutes away from Saranac Waterfront Lodge, and along with its solid downhill skiing and snowboarding includes a tubing hill among its attractions.

Tubing at Mount Pisgah is an absolute blast—and you can even enjoy it after-hours! Night tubing’s just about as popular as the night skiing and riding offered here.

Current rates at Mount Pisgah for tubing are $25, which lands you a generous two-hour session. You’ll be towed in your tube up the hill (which, if you ask us, is nearly as much fun as the faster-paced downhill component) to set you up for the thrilling ride down.

Snow tubing is a fabulous, all-ages sort of entry point to snowsports, and, of course, even devoted skiers and riders enjoy the activity, which offers very much its own irresistible appeal.

Mount Pisgah’s the site for the ever-popular Innertube Races during the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival. This family-friendly competition, which includes multiple age-group classes, takes place on the second Friday of the Winter Carnival, which this year falls on February 8th.

Titus Mountain Tubing

Another option for snow tubing within day-tripping reach of Saranac Waterfront Lodge is Titus Mountain (215 Johnson Rd, Malone, NY). This ski area recently renovated its tubing hill, which now comes serviced by a new 550-foot conveyor lift and offers more lanes as well as double tubes for tandem adult/child rides.
