SARANAC WATERFRONT LODGE OPENS ITS DOORS IN THE HEART OF THE ADIRONDACK HIGH PEAKS
Saranac Lake, NY - November XX, 2020 - Located in the heart of the Adirondack High Peaks, Saranac Waterfront Lodge today officially opens its doors as the newest independent boutique hotel in the Adirondacks. The only full-service waterfront property on Lake Flower in the village of Saranac Lake, the hotel offers unmatched views of the surrounding lake and mountains, locally-sourced food, and best-in-class service and amenities.
Ideally situated directly on the shores of Lake Flower's Pontiac Bay, the hotel is located within walking distance of downtown Saranac Lake, just a few miles from Lake Placid and 20 miles from Tupper Lake. During its soft opening period, the hotel is giving guests a first look at its luxurious guestrooms, all-day restaurant, inviting lobby, and waterfront meeting and event space. Additional amenities opening in 2021 include two more food and beverage venues, an indoor heated pool and hot tub, lakeside fire pit, and private marina boasting lake access and 24 boat slips.
Rates at Saranac Waterfront Lodge start from $192 during its soft opening. Guests who stay at the hotel during the months of November - January will also receive a special invitation to come back following the hotel's official Grand Opening in Spring 2021, and enjoy a 20 percent discount off the best available rate and a $25 food and beverage credit.

Designed by Baskervill and inspired by its natural surroundings, Saranac Waterfront Lodge is the epitome of "lake meets mountain" style, with the outdoors woven into every aspect of the hotel. Guests are greeted in the lobby which features a cozy fireplace, beautiful chandeliers hanging from a loft ceiling, a granite bar and a large patio overlooking Lake Flower. With soft, neutral colors and pops of plaid throughout, the interior spaces of the hotel provide a serene ambience, with artwork that pays homage to the surrounding flora and fauna of the area.
Health and safety features were designed into the hotel's spaces, including the layout and furnishing of the bar, restaurant, and ballroom. The dining room of the Boathouse was designed to allow for natural physical distancing between tables, the hotel's ventilation system uses the most updated technology available, and housekeeping incorporates BIOPROTECT™ antimicrobial technology in its "Peace of Mind" cleaning program. Services including contactless check-in are also being offered.
Rooms with a ViewPaying homage to the hotel's natural surroundings, all 93 guest rooms at Saranac Waterfront Lodge are designed in an "Adirondack Modern" aesthetic. Featuring pale greys and off-whites with forest green and deep navy accents, the guest rooms are designed to accentuate the views of the surrounding lake, mountains and town. Most guest rooms average 335 square feet, while those looking for even more space can reserve one of five suites with separate living rooms and walk-out balconies overlooking the lake. All guest rooms offer king- or queen-sized beds, along with flat-screen televisions, Keurig coffee machines, a small refrigerator, luxurious linens and Aqua di Parma bath amenities. Guest rooms also offer plenty of outlets to plug in, along with complimentary WiFi, and dogs up to 50lbs are welcome for an added fee.
Dining on the WaterOverlooking Lake Flower, guests and locals alike can indulge in a menu of elevated gastropub fare and regional craft brews at Boathouse, the hotel's all-day restaurant, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Chef David Gross prepares seasonal menus featuring the finest and freshest locally-sourced ingredients, with signature dishes including locally-sourced fried chicken with hot honey aioli, B&B house pickles and cabbage slaw, along with Fall Harvest flatbread with butternut squash, crispy brussels and ricotta. Featuring a modern industrial design and large boat-shaped bar, the Boathouse opens up onto a waterfront patio (opening in spring 2021), while also flowing directly into the ballroom next door for holiday meals and events.
Lakefront Meetings & EventsWith more than 3,000 square feet of event space, Saranac Waterfront Lodge is the perfect spot for a wedding, meeting or social event surrounded by the lake and mountains at every turn. Modern, yet timeless, wedding couples have the choice of a gorgeous four-season waterfront wedding space overlooking Lake Flower year-round, or an intimate, exclusive soiree in one of the hotels' smaller spaces.
